Can someone explain to me why it is so funny to watch Jason Derudo dance? Should I think it is so funny? Doesn’t he just look like he shouldn’t dance like a Backstreet Boy? But then he is so good at it? Even, arguably, better than his backup dancers?

Shared with me by Sam Alden when I was feeling pretty sad and he wanted me to feel peppier… What impresses me about this video is not just that only the center baby seems to know any of the dance (and sometimes the blue baby), but that ALL the babies manage to keep their hoods ON for the entire performance. If I know anything about baby children, it is that they remove hoods rather quickly.

I guess my question is this: When will Tim Burton stop re-making movies that were good to begin with, only he has decided that they ought to be scarier and weirder and appeal more to the 17-year-old Hot Topic set than they previously did? And perhaps more importantly, when will Johnny Depp stop accepting Tim Burton’s demands that he play the crazier-than-you-ever-imagined leads in these unnecessary remakes?

Here are more suggestions of stories Tim Burton could creepify in the next ten years: “Grimm’s Fairy Tales,” “The Phantom Toll Booth,” “The Twitches,” “Sideways Stories from Wayside School,” “The Velveteen Rabbit.”

I am too lazy to see if this photograph was viral like three weeks ago when it emerged. But if it wasn’t, it really should have been. Am I right or am I right? I mean… it’s Heidi and Spencer and Blago (not cardboard cutout Blago, but actual Blago), and they are standing in some kind of swamp.

1. Spencer clearly has some kind of swamp creature fingering his asshole or something.
2. What is Heidi wearing? And why?
3. No one has on the right shoes for this.
4. How did no one think to push anyone into that murky vampire water?
